Who We Are
The Penn State Navigators is a community passionate about helping Penn State students discover and grow in a relationship with Jesus. Whether you're a student who is exploring a relationship with Jesus for the first time, or someone who is looking to grow in your faith in college, we exist as a campus ministry to help you in that journey!
Though we offer large group events and opportunities, our passion is to help people personally and individually in their faith. We believe in the power of deep relationships with others to share the truth that we have a God who seeks to know us relationally. We believe strongly in the vision of one-to-one discipleship, personally helping each person right where they're at. We also are passionate about outreach - sharing the hope of the gospel on our campus with students, offering training to students in how to do that, and creating opportunities that help create a lifetime passion for serving others in the name of Christ.
We've also found that there are a few main ways students prefer to get involved and check us out. Our weekly worship meeting (Nav Night), small group Bible studies, and social events are ways to meet new friends and check out what the Penn State Navigators are all about.
The Penn State Navigators has been serving Penn State students since 1964, when The Navigators sent the first staff to start the Navigator ministry at Penn State. Through different decades and different leaders, our vision has been the same - to help students grow in knowing Christ and making Him known, on campus and for a lifetime. We've sent short term and long term missionaries to places like Kenya, Zambia, Malaysia, China, Japan, Thailand, and we've had the privilege of seeing thousands of students come through our ministry, grow in their relationship with God, graduate and head out to impact their families, workplaces, neighborhoods, and churches.
